Steven M. Marin '20

Steven Michael Marin joined Marin & Sons in 2021 and will serve as Director of Business Development, where he will focus on expanding Marin & Sons’ service reach and assist in new client development.

Steven attended Florida International University and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration after graduating in 2020. He was recognized by FIU President Mark Rosenberg for his fundraising efforts on behalf of Fostering Panther Pride - an FIU program that addresses the special educational, physical and emotional needs of formerly foster and homeless youth enrolled at FIU. In three years, Steven raised over $130,000 for students in need and received a commendation from the Miami Dade County Board of Commissioners for his efforts.

During his time in college, he chose to work simultaneously at Smoothie King in the hopes of opening up his own franchise someday. He worked at Smoothie King for six months, where he learned a lot about the company as a whole and the fundamentals behind making a franchise profitable.

In an attempt to seek a new challenge, Steven later accepted a job with MSP Recovery – a leading Medicaid and Medicare Secondary Payer Act Recovery firm. He served as a data analyst and worked in the SIU Department for two years and in the Sales Department for one year. Throughout this opportunity, he gained valuable experience in the organizational structures of the healthcare industry. 

Steven’s goal in life is to someday create his own managed services organization in the Miami area. He has a serious interest in entrepreneurship and private/public equity. He has created and co-created a total of five different businesses throughout his young professional life. When he is not working, Steven loves to read about new companies on the stock market and identify which are good investments.
