Peter Koltis '87

Pete Koltis is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Business Consulting, focusing on strategy, cost reduction and performance improvement in the IT area. This includes rationalization of cloud computing platforms and implementation of customer facing solutions. Pete has 25 years of industry and consulting experience in defining and implementing systems strategies for specific industries such as consumer products, insurance, distribution, manufacturing and healthcare. He also has over 6 years of operational experience in the high tech industry co-founding and building a company around SaaS based CRM and Accounting solutions. Some highlights of Pete's career include: -Led the global rollout of a 375 seat CRM implementation across 35 countries in EMEIA and Asia in the Financial Services industry. The project spanned an 18 month period and resulted in the first enterprise wide system the company had ever successfully deployed to manage relationships with over 750,000 merchants. -Led the CRM implementation effort at the US Department of Commerce within the 450 user Market Access and Compliance team. This involved designing a unique solution, extending a CRM platform to address the customer's requirements and training over 450 people in a 6 week period of time. -Led a team that implemented a multi-phased CRM and Supply Chain Management solution for a $750M division of a multi-billion dollar information services company. The project provided significant ROI through headcount reduction and revenue enhancement. The project included a team of 8 in the US and another 15 in an offshore development center in India. -Served as project leader for a team that implemented a multi-phased CRM solution for a large Canadian mutual fund firm. The project resulted in significant ROI achieved through a consolidation and standardization of business processes within the Sales, Marketing and Customer Service functions. -Led a team of over 90 consultants to manage a large scale CRM implementation at one of the largest wireless carriers in the US. This project included taking on a failed first phase and delivering against the original agreed upon timeline. Pete earned a B.A. in Management Information Systems, Florida International University and served as Chairman of FIU President's Council 2022-2022.
