Peter J. Campbell '15, JD '22

P.J. Campbell is a public policy advocate and governmental affairs professional with almost a decade of experience at the Federal, State and local level. While an FIU undergrad student, P.J. was the Governmental Affairs Director for FIU BBC Student Government and was the Student Assistant to the Governmental Relations Office. He also spent time interning for The U.S. House of Representatives, The White House, and the Florida House of Representatives while completing his undergraduate degree. After FIU, P.J. went on to work for multiple Florida State Representatives as a legislative aide. After 3 legislative sessions, he left the Florida Legislature to attend FIU law. While in law school, P.J. ran political campaigns at the local and state level including State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle's re-election, in which P.J. was her Finance Director. During his final year of law school, he clerked for the lobbying firm Ballard Partners in their Miami office. After law school P.J. became the Director of Public Policy for the United Way Miami, where he directs and implements their public policy action plan.
