Mr. Fonseca has more than 17 years of experience as an IT executive with expertise in IT infrastructure operations, sales, business development, telecommunications, and government contracting. Mr. Fonseca joined Terremark in 2001 and was most recently the President of Terremark, a Verizon company until September of 2012. In that role he was responsible for managing Terremark's cloud, internet data center and managed security business that included 3,500 employees, over $1.5 billion in revenue and operations in 19 countries. Prior to that, he served as Terremark's Chief Operating Officer from 2009 to 2011. In that role, he focused on the expansion of Terremark's business through the integration of multiple acquisitions, the global consolidation of its operations, the enhancement of the product portfolio and the expansion of both direct and indirect sales channels. Prior to being named Chief Operations Officer, Mr. Fonseca was President of Terremark's U.S. Public Sector Business Unit. His specific duties included the oversight of Terremark Federal Group, the management of Terremark's State and Local Government initiatives and the development and operation of the NAP of the Capital Region data center campus in Culpeper, Virginia. Other previous roles at Terremark included Senior Vice President of Federal Sales and Vice President of Commercial Sales. Mr. Fonseca started his professional career at Nortel Networks as part of the wireless network division and also held various business development positions at Telcordia Technologies prior to joining Terremark. Mr. Fonseca received his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Barry University and his Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Miami.
