Maritza Estevez-Pazos is the owner of Estevez-Pazos Law Firm, P.A. where she practices exclusively in Marital and Family Law assisting her clients in proceedings involving complex and simplified dissolution of marriage, child custody and support, alimony, paternity actions, the distribution of assets and liabilities, and in the preparation and negotiation of prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. She earned her Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from Florida International University in 1999, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Maritza obtained her Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Miami School of Law in May 2003, where she graduated Cum Laude. During her law school career, Maritza served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Federal Magistrate Stephen T. Brown (Southern District of Florida). She also interned at the United States Attorney's Office, Major Crimes Division in Miami, and, served on the Editorial Board of the University of Miami Psychology Public Policy Law Review. Maritza is a proud member of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar, a Board Member of KidSide, a member of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee, and a member of The Florida Family Law American Inns of Court in Miami and the Coral Gables Bar Association. Maritza has also been a Guest Instructor at the University of Miami School of Law on financial and timesharing issues in family law. She has been recognized as one of Florida's Outstanding Young Lawyers for her hard work and dedication to the legal profession, and was selected as a Florida Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2012 and 2013. In 2014 and 2015, Maritza was selected to the distinguished group of Florida Super Lawyers.
