Eric Montes de Oca holds the position of Vice President and is also an Equity Partner of Grycon LLC, a leading South Florida General Contractor and Construction Management firm. He has worked in the construction industry for the past twenty-six years, and twenty-one of those years have been with the Grycon team. At Grycon, he is responsible for business development, field operations, and serves as Project Executive on large scale projects. Eric is a Miami Dade College Alumnus, where he graduated with an Associate’s Degree. In 2017, Eric was honored by Miami Dade College when they inducted him into the Alumni Hall of Fame. In 1996, Eric graduated from Florida International University (FIU) with a Bachelor’s of Science in Construction Management. Eric sits on FIU's Presidents Council. In addition to his roles at Grycon, Eric is President of the Latin Builders Association (LBA), which is the largest Hispanic construction association in the United States. As President for the LBA, he works exceptionally close with their charity group named The LBA Children & Families Foundation. Eric was instrumental in the process of establishing the LBA Academy Charter High School in Hialeah Gardens, Florida. This is the first Charter School started by a Business organization in the US. In the fall of 2016, Eric was nominated and inducted into the Board of Trustees for the Council for Educational Change, a statewide non-profit organization focused on leadership to improve student achievement and address critical education issues in the community. As is evidenced by his daily actions Eric has a tremendous passion for the construction industry, his alma mater, and his local community.
